Spray a small amount of vegetable oil on your knife before cutting a pie with a soft filling. This will stop the filling from sticking to the knife.

To easily hull strawberries, take a sturdy plastic straw and center it at the bottom of the strawberry. Push the straw up towards the cap of the strawberry keeping the straw centered. The core and cap will come off in one easy motion.
