Using a keyholder, in a handy place, is a neat place to hang measuring spoons, egg separator or even measuring cups. It makes them so easily accessible.



Having a pair of pliers, in the kitchen, helps to remove skin from chicken, tough membrane from rack of ribs, or for any other job that requires a lot of grip. Washing the pliers in the dishwasher, and keep them with your other gadgets.


When you can't find the edge of the plastic wrap, try rubbing some flour along the roll. The flour catches along the hidden edge and helps you grab it.


Small flexible candy molds are great for molding butter in, to make pretty shapes for parties or special events. Let the butter soften before pressing it into the molds, refrigerate or refreeze it until firm again. The molds are so flexible, the butter pops right out. Molds have seasonal designs and themes; it is a fun and easy way to make an event 'special.'


All recipes tell you to have your ingredients measured out and ready to use before starting to cook. Using paper muffin and cupcake liners, or even small bathroom cups, makes cleanup so much easier. These are handy for holding such ingredients as spices chopped herbs, garlic, etc. After cooking, just throw the holders away. Saves washing little bowls and cups.


When hosting a party, place such items as Cole slaw, salads, dips, etc., in zip-lock bags and keep them in a large cooler filled with ice or freezer packs. The refrigerator is now free to hold beverages, desserts, and other bulky or delicate items.
