Chocolate Brownie Cookies
6 squares Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
4 squares Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
6 tablespoons butter
1-1/4 cups sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon Calumet Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped toasted Planters Pecan or Walnut Halves
Microwave semi-sweet chocolate, unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix until well blended. Stir in pecans. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 325 degrees for 12 minutes or until cookies feel set to the touch. Cool 1 minute; remove from baking sheets. Cool completely on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
Note: If omitting nuts, increase flour to 1-1/4 cups to prevent spreading of dough. Makes about 3 dozen.
