Blackberry Dumplings

Crust for 9-inch single crust pie
2 bags frozen blackberries
1 1/2 cups sugar
Water

Roll pie crust very thin, cut into strips. Combine blackberries, sugar and enough water to cover. Bring to a rolling boil. Add crust strips and continue cooking until dumplings are tender. Remove from heat. Serve with milk, cream or ice cream.
